Renovations are underway for C Chalets and Inca Lodge and Octagon Lodge

Portillo, CHILE (May 1, 2025) – After a successful and snow-filled 2024 season,  Ski Portillo, Chile will welcome skiers for the 2025 season from June 21 – Sept. 27.

Ski Portillo is a timeless resort offering a ski vacation rich in culture, family-owned hospitality, and breathtaking natural beauty. The ultimate “ski-in-summer” destination  for Northern Hemisphere ski and snowboard aficionados interested in extending their ski season, Portillo has been welcoming skiers from around the world since 1949.

Several Olympic ski teams have confirmed Ski Portillo as their summer training ground in advance of the 2026 Winter Olympics. Ski Portillo has a long history in ski racing after hosting the 1966 World Championships – the first and only to have been hosted in South America, and the speed trials in 1978 famous for setting the 200 kph speed skiing record. Since then the best skiers in the world including Ted Ligety, Mikaela Shiffrin, Lindsay Vonn, Bode Miller, and more have flocked to Ski Portillo for training.

Ski Portillo completed a renovation of Hotel Portillo in 2019 and now is renovating the Chalets, and the Inca and Octagon Lodges. Renovations are being made on a rolling basis, with C Chalets, half of the Octagon Lodge rooms, and all Inca Lodge rooms renovated in advance of the 2025 season. The C Chalets redo will have an updated modern alpine with enlarged sitting rooms and bathrooms, absorbing the space used by the kitchens and new insulated windows, carpeting, paint and furnishings. Half of the Octagon Lodge rooms will be updated with new carpeting, paint, curtains, and a new configuration to one bunk bed and one queen bed that may also be changed into two twin beds. The Inca Lodge rooms will have more spacious closets, carpeting, paint and bathroom upgrades. 

Rates for Ski Portillo signature 7-day Ski Weeks begin at US$3,050 for a Valley View room (per person based on double occupancy), US$2,050 for the Octagon Lodge (based on quad occupancy), and US$1,550 for the hostel-style Inca Lodge. Other accommodations include Hotel Portillo Suites, family rooms, and the Chalets. Rates for ski weeks include accommodations, four meals daily (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner in the Hotel dining room – or the Cafeteria for Inca Lodge guests), eight-days of lift tickets, and all the amenities of the resort.

2025 Special Weeks

Annual events including Friends Week and Wine Weeks bring additional activities to already action-packed weeks. 

• Kids’ Ski Free Weeks – Between June 21 – July 19 and Aug. 30 – Sept. 27, with at least one adult paying full rate, receive one complimentary week/mini week for a child ages 4 – 11 to ski/eat/stay.

• Friends Week (Aug. 9 – 16) brings friends, new and old, together for a week of fun with apres-ski parties, a wine dinner at Tio Bob’s, complimentary ski tours with our guest ambassadors, film presentations, and more. 

• Wine Week (July 26 – Aug 2) and Wine Fest (Aug. 23 – 30) celebrate Chile’s world-renowned wines. Guests may enjoy complimentary après-ski wine tastings from Chile’s finest vineyards, attend special wine pairing dinners, and learn more about Chile’s rich wine landscape.
